During the first two years of its establishment, the company did not engage in any major works, with the exception of few consulting assignments, as the promoter was serving as the Project Manager for the construction of Royal Thimphu College (www.rtc.bt), private university college established at an estimated cost of Nu. 700 million.
Current Works
Thimphu Resort, Thimphu (2017 - Till Date)
Bhutan Professional Services is currently serving as the PMC for the development of a resort in Thimphu owned by S.D Hotels And Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. The works at site are progressing well, and all necessary coordination among the designers and contractors on site are being coordinated by BPS.

dusitD2 Yarkay Hotel, Thimphu (2016 - 2019)
dusitD2 Yarkay Hotel, Thimphu is the latest addition to the growing stock of 5-star luxury hotel chains in Bhutan, which was developed by the Yarkay Group of Companies, and operated by Dusit Thani an international hotel chain.
Bhutan Professional Services was invited to lead this development as the PMC in April 2016 when the owners realized the difficulties and challenges associated with such high-end projects even though the civil works was managed in-house by the Yarkay Construction.
dusitD2 Yarkay has secured the top spot in the country with the largest number of guestrooms at 83, and also the most modern discotheue with the opening of its Club Skydancer in May 2019. The hotel interior was developed by IA49, a world-renowned interior designer from Thailand, and the hotel is built to international standards, with very high levels of fire and life safety standards with centralized heating and cooling systems, hydropneumatic system for domestic water supply and inhouse water treatment plant.
The completion of this project not only adds to our rich experience but is yet another milestone achievement for Bhutan Professional Services, which is the most sought-after company in the hospitality sector.

Le Meridien, Thimphu (2011 - 2014)
Construction of a 5-star luxury hotel owned by M/s Bhutan Hotels Pvt. Ltd., which is one of the first FDI companies to be incorporated into the company’s act of the Kingdom of Bhutan.
The hotel construction is one of the largest private sector developments in the country with more than 150,000 sft of built-up area and completed at a cost of Nu. 800 Million. It has the distinction of being the largest hotel in the country today built to international standards with very high levels of fire and life safety standards, and is among few projects in Bhutan with HVAC systems, Building Management Systems, and its own water and sewage treatment plants.
The hotel was completed in less than four years and has established a new benchmark for construction standards, both in terms of quality and completion timelines, in Bhutan’s Construction Sector.

Bhutan Elder Sangha Sanctuary (BESS) 2011 – 2014
Construction of a retreat for elderly monks at Punakha, Bhutan, which is an initiative of His Holiness the Je Khenpo and sponsored by Tsao Foundation, Singapore. The primary objective of the project was to develop a centre and nurture a community environment where elderly monks can lead a life of quiet contemplation, contentment, and dignity. The project design has been developed by Tsao & McKown Architects, USA following the American Disabled Act and is pioneering old-age friendly design concepts in Bhutan.
We completed the construction of Mock-up unit in 2011 following which the project was up-scaled in 2013, and the project was successfully completed within the contract period and was consecrated by His Holiness the Je Khenpo on 9 September 2014.
